A traditional Summer Camp is you classic co-ed, overnight, all singing all dancing summer camp!
They come in all shapes and sizes and are usually family run or family-owned and have a strong sense of community.
Traditional camps help teach their campers important life lessons and have a huge impact on their lives.
Most have a girls village and a boys village and you’ll live in cabins with the children and other Camp Counselors.
Many of the campers go back to camp year after year and go on to become Camp Counselors themselves!
Every day at camp is always a little different from the day before, but that’s what makes camp so fun.
Camps will have their own traditions that you’ll become a part of, from flag raising every morning to camp fire at night! (s’mores, anyone?)
Each camp has unique traditions that are unique to them. This could be a huge performing arena, to a totem pole, a classic waterfront and lots of special camp chants!
Camps run hundreds of activities, have their unique ‘Colour War’ (get ready to get competitive!) and breakout sessions with a different, fun theme each year!
Your cabin will be your cabin and your tribe will be your tribe! No one will get how important this is… except you!
