USIT Camp USA Program Update

USA Summer Camp help everyone with a USIT Camp Placement

Updated 1st April 2020

We are saddened to see that a long time travel agency USIT has appointed liquidators to the firm.  These are challenging times and our thoughts are with the company and staff within the group.

USA Summer Camp is Ireland’s largest Summer Camp Agency.  We would like to offer our help and expertise to every J1 participant on a Camp USA program who may be uncertain of their summer.

In times of uncertainty, we appreciate that USITs news will have worried many participants. Please rest assured that USA Summer Camp will do everything to help you and ensure that your money is not lost.

Your Visa Sponsor and Camp Placement

The first thing for you to do is to understand who is your visa sponsor.  USIT work with 2 sponsors for the camp program.  InterExchange and CIEE (Council On International Educational Exchange).   These sponsors should have, or will be getting in touch with you to reassure you that your summer placement is safe, that your visa is still available and that you have everything you need to go to Summer Camp in America.

Please check your emails and junk emails for information from your sponsor.

Coronavirus and Borders

USA Summer Camp will be ready to continue to run our camp program when the borders re-open after COVID-19. The indications that we have from both the Department of State and the US Embassy is that they should be up and running again in time for summer camps to run this season. We’re working day by day with this outbreak and are on hand to progress the program for summer 2020 as soon as we can.

Stay Home, Stay Safe.
