If spending your whole summer in the music department playing in a rock band sounds like a dream, then we’ve got the perfect role for you!
Music covers a huge array of different genres and skill levels for you to sink your teeth into. They house so many different instruments and have amazing equipment so you can create songs, teach instruments or compose backing tracks for the camp performances.
Camps tend to have great facilities, so you and the campers can record your songs and perform in pretty cool venues. You may need to bring some of your instruments!
Camps are huge, so whatever music you’re into, there’s a place at camp for it.
A guitarist, pianist, DJ, music composer, music technician, orchestral performer, singer, songwriter or in a brass band, are all welcome to teach or lead this at camp.
Camps usually cater for whatever level you’re at or you’re teaching skills are at, there is always a camp for you.
Of course, you can’t beat a sing-song around the campfire, so the counselor with the good voice or who can play the guitar or ukulele always get extra camp brownie points!
To lead music sessions at camp this summer, camps will be looking for you to have a level 5 qualification in music, but being a Grade 8 would be a huge bonus.
Because music is such a big part of camp, even if you have no qualifications, there’s still a chance for you to be a general counselor. Music will be an area you will spend a lot of time in!
Don’t forget to bring your instrument with you. Is there a better place to perform your talents?!
