You’ll have the most rewarding job imaginable, but you’ll enjoy time off at Summer Camp.
Life at camp is full on. With lots of excited children experiencing camp activities, you’ll need your downtime to recharge.
In today’s Guest Blog post, Jenna talks us through how she spent her time off at Summer Camp…
I was lucky enough to have every weekend off apart from one – though it’s not like that at every camp.
We had from Friday evening until Sunday morning totally free to do whatever we wanted with.
Having that much downtime means we were able to do a bit of travelling before a new group of campers came.
On our first weekend off, we went to an Orioles Baseball game. It was so fun, even though I still don’t fully understand what happened.
Going to the game on our first weekend was lovely because it gave us a good chance to really bond.
It was amazing to get to see the city of Baltimore before the game, and I even got a chance to have a Hairspray moment.
I was lucky enough to have two trips to Washington while at camp. It’s such a gorgeous place!
It has so much history and a lot of the iconic museums are free to go into.
All the main sights are in walking distance from each other and the buildings are so pretty. I wish we had more time to explore the city.
On independence day, we went to the Hershey World theme park. It was so fun and the fireworks were amazing.
On other weekends, we went to a waterpark and stayed over at another Camp Counselor‘s apartment in Towson.
Having the weekends off was good to help us recharge, relax, and even sleep in!
