Are you ready to return to summer camp?
If you’ve already spent a summer at camp, you’ll know just how magical it is. The long sunny days, the friends who feel like family, the endless activities, and those unforgettable moments under the stars. But here’s the question: are you ready to go back and do it all again?
Returning to Summer Camp isn’t just about reliving the memories (though you’ll definitely do that!). It’s about building on everything you learned the first time, stepping back into a community that values you, and making an even bigger impact on campers’ lives. Whether it’s your second, third, or fifth summer, there’s no better way to spend your summer than heading back to camp.
And here’s the important part: if you’re thinking about returning, you’ll want to start your application as soon as possible. Not only does it help you secure your place, but it also gives you the best chance of landing your role, your salary, and your visa without stress.

Why return to camp?

Think back to your first summer. Remember the laughter, the energy, and the sense of achievement when you helped a camper master a new skill or just made their day better? Returning to camp means doubling down on all of that.
- Reconnect with friends and camp family – Camp friendships last a lifetime. Coming back means reuniting with people who know exactly what camp life is like.
- Step into leadership – As a returner, you’re often given more responsibility, whether that’s mentoring new counsellors or leading bigger activities.
- Earn more – Returners can negotiate higher salaries and secure better perks, so your summer not only fills your heart but also your wallet.
- Build your CV – Showing commitment and progression in an international role is a huge plus for your future career.
Second-year returners

If you’re heading back for your second summer, you’re officially a 2nd Year Returner. Camps usually start hiring around September/October, so the earlier you speak with your camp, the better. Secure your role, confirm your responsibilities, and lock in your salary.
Once you’ve got your offer, log in to your profile and create your new application. Don’t forget to pay your £99 deposit to fully secure your spot.
Third year (and beyond!)

Heading back for a third summer or more? Amazing! But here’s where speed is key. The Department of State limits the number of visas available for returners in their third year or above — only 10% of visas go to this group, and they’re given out on a first-come-first-served basis.
That means as soon as you’ve got your offer, jump onto your profile, start your application, and pay your £99 deposit. The sooner you do it, the more likely you are to secure your visa and get back to camp.
Thinking of returning to a new camp?
Some people decide they want a new challenge or a different location for their next camp adventure. If that’s you, you’ll be treated as a first-time applicant — with all the excitement of starting fresh but the advantage of having previous experience. You’ll just need a reference from your old camp to get started.
Why apply early?
- Visa limits – The earlier you apply, the better chance you have of securing your place.
- Peace of mind – No last-minute stress, no risk of missing out.
- Better opportunities – Camps make decisions early, so you’ll be in a stronger position to secure the role you want.
Don’t miss out on another summer
The magic of camp isn’t something you only experience once — it grows with every summer you return. More adventures. More friendships. More stories you’ll never stop telling.
So, are you ready to return to camp? Don’t wait — secure your place today and make sure your next summer is even better than the last.
