Do I need to be a student to work at summer camp?

Nope! You do not need to be a student to become a Camp Counsellor or Specialist Counsellor.

Camp Counsellor roles and Activity Specialist roles are open to anyone aged 18+.
Support Staff roles (like office, kitchen or maintenance) are for students only, due to visa regulations – but the fun’s just as big either way!

What kind of activities can I do at camp

So. Many. Things.
From archery to arts & crafts, swimming to stage shows, yoga to zip lines – every camp is different, and every day is packed with energy, creativity and fun.

Whether you’re a total sports nut, love the performing arts, or enjoy behind-the-scenes leadership – there’s a role that suits you.

Top tip: Share your hobbies and interests on your application – you might land the perfect role teaching what you love!

Will I actually get hired?

Yes! If you complete your application and submit all your documents on time, you’re on track to get placed at a camp in America.

We’ve had a 100% placement record for two years running – so if you’re ready and committed, there’s a place waiting for you.

And don’t forget – you’re not in this alone. Our team is here to guide you every step of the way.

Is summer camp right for me?

Absolutely.
Whether you’re shy, confident, introverted, outgoing, sporty, artsy, or a mix of everything – camp is for everyone.

You’ll be amazed at how quickly you grow, how many new friends you make, and how much fun you’ll have stepping outside your comfort zone.

You don’t have to fit a mould. You just need to show up, get stuck in, and embrace the experience.

Bonus tips for first-time applicants:

  • Start prepping your travel documents early
  • Keep an eye on your visa appointment dates
  • Ask questions! Our team and past participants love to help
  • Pack for all kinds of weather (and costumes – theme nights are big!)
