Yellowstone National Park – Wyoming, Montana & Idaho

The world’s first national park is also one of the most spectacular.
Yellowstone is a geothermal wonderland filled with bubbling hot springs, steaming geysers, deep canyons, alpine rivers and wildlife galore. One of the biggest draws? The famous Old Faithful Geyser, which erupts like clockwork every 90 minutes.
But this place is so much more than a photo op. Drive or bike through sweeping valleys, hike past rainbow-coloured pools, or camp under a blanket of stars. You might just spot grizzly bears, wolves, elk or even a herd of bison crossing the road beside you.
Fun fact: Yellowstone sits on an active supervolcano – and you can walk on safely built boardwalks right above it!
Death Valley National Park – California & Nevada

Extreme, epic, and absolutely unforgettable.
Death Valley is the hottest and driest place in North America—but don’t let the name scare you off. This desert park is full of surprises: from shimmering salt flats at Badwater Basin (282 feet below sea level) to snow-capped mountain peaks and colourful rock formations that change with the light.
Adventurous travellers can go backcountry hiking, horseback riding, or even glamp under the stars. Just be sure to bring your water and watch for desert wildlife – like wild horses, coyotes, and the elusive desert bighorn sheep.
Top tip: Sunrise and sunset are the best times to take in the otherworldly beauty of this place (and beat the heat!).
Everglades National Park – Florida

A subtropical paradise where land, water and wildlife collide.
This park is like no other. With vast marshes, mangrove forests, and glassy wetlands, the Everglades are perfect for adventurous travellers who love to explore off the beaten track. Fancy something different? Try Slough Slogging—a hike through the water itself!
At Shark Valley, you can bike, walk or take a tram around a 15-mile loop packed with wildlife and scenic views. Spot gators basking in the sun, turtles sliding into the water, or (if you’re very lucky) the rare Florida panther.
Add in boat trips, birdwatching, and the thrill of spotting a real-life alligator, and you’ve got a wild side of Florida you’ll never forget.
Grand Canyon National Park – Arizona

A true icon – and 100% worthy of the hype.
The Grand Canyon is one of the most jaw-dropping natural wonders in the world. Carved over millions of years by the Colorado River, this massive canyon stretches over 270 miles long, a mile deep, and up to 18 miles wide.
It’s the kind of place that makes you feel small in the best possible way.
Walk along the South Rim for incredible views, or if you’re feeling bold, take on the Skywalk – a glass bridge that juts out over the canyon’s edge. Want more? Hop on a helicopter ride, hike the Bright Angel Trail, or take a mule tour to the canyon floor.
And if you’re into wildlife? Keep your eyes peeled for bighorn sheep, elk, California condors and even the mighty Bald Eagle.
Yosemite National Park – California

Granite cliffs. Giant waterfalls. Towering redwoods. Yosemite is a dream.
Famous for El Capitan, Half Dome, and Yosemite Falls, this park is one of the best spots in the USA for hiking, rock climbing, and seriously epic photography.
You’ll be blown away by its dramatic landscapes – especially if you catch the view from Glacier Point at sunrise. Wander through peaceful meadows, marvel at the giant sequoia trees, or dip your toes in the Merced River.
Whether you’re an adventure-seeker or just looking to reconnect with nature, Yosemite will steal your heart.
