We’ve all seen the movies – The Parent Trap, Daddy Day Camp, Camp Rock. For many of us, the words summer camp conjure up the classic image: a lakefront setting, kids in matching t-shirts belting out campfire songs, and the unmistakable scent of toasted s’mores lingering in the air.

But what if we told you that American summer camps have evolved far beyond the 90s movie magic?

Today’s camps are more advanced than ever – many boasting better facilities than most UK universities – while still preserving that unbeatable spirit of connection, adventure, and childhood wonder. And with camps competing to deliver the best possible experience, modern camps often feel more like luxury resorts than rustic retreats.
