There are lots of activities on the water for campers to try out – from slides to water-skiing – and they all need a lifeguard on duty to make sure everyone’s safe in the water.
There’s no summer job in America that’s more iconic than a lifeguard!
Quite often strong swimmers or NPLQ Qualified Lifeguards are applicable for the job. Camps usually train you to become American Red Cross Lifeguards, which is their version of an NPLQ. This just adds another string to your bow and something else on the CV.
Sitting by the huge camp lake or around the swimming pool at camp….sun out, sunglasses on. We can’t think of a better one!
